Tony has been a major part of the clubs success over the last two years, he is by far one of the best keepers the league has to offer, and on his day looks unbeatable between the sticks. His experience also plays a big part and he has been the difference between winning and losing on many occasions so far. He has a real desire to be a winner and is determined to bring more silverware to the club.
James Dean

James showed great commitment last season and always trained even when he found himself out of the squad on a regular basis. He found chances to impress hard to come by but also showed promise when called upon, he will be looking to get a good pre-season under his belt and build on what was a solid debut season. He has a good touch and knows exactly where the back of the net is.
Jack Denniss
Midfield/Defence

Jack had a really debut season in the red and black of Athletic, he is tough tackling defender/midfielder who really knows how to play, he won the Most Improved Player Of The Year award last season, and will be looking to establish himself as a first team regular from the start of the season.
Samuel "Smudge" Dickens
Midfield
Age:17
Squad Number:4

Smudge had an excellent season last time out becoming a regular right from the start of the season, he played either in midfield or as a centre back and in both positions looked very comfortable, he will want to score more goals given the chance to push on, but is a tremendous all round player, he knows how to tackle and his height makes him very strong in the air. If he can continue his excellent progress he is sure to have a big part to play this year.
Mark "Gaffer" Dolman
Manager/Midfield

The Gaffer had a much improved season last year and walked away with the players player of the year award for his troubles, he scored 10 times from midfield and created many more for others. He will be hoping for another good year this season, and with competition for places hotting up he will need to at the top of his game.
Danny Fowler
Captain/Striker

Squad Number:9

Danny is club captain and capped his debut season by scooping the player of the year award, he had an action packed first season at the club scoring 29 goals in all competitions. He is good in the air and always looks a handfull for defenders and will be trying even harder this season to beat Lol Breens impressive tally of 42 goals in one season. He is also a very good leader on and off the pitch and is a good example for the younger players in the squad.
Mark Fowler
Attacking Midfield

Squad Number:10

Mark signed for the club at the tail end of last season, playing in all of Athletic's final 6 games of the season. He arrived from Thetford Town FC having started the season at Ridgeons premier league side Diss Town. Mark can operate upfront or in midfield and has a real talent for finishing. He has a great touch and always seems to have time on the ball. Mark is sure to fit in well and having finished off the season with his new teammates a lot is expected of him over the next few months.
